Conor McGregor Cornerman Dillon Danis Receives 7-Month Suspension, $7,500 Fine For Getting Savagely Attacked By Noted Savage Khabib Nurmagomedov At UFC 229
It feels like it’s been ten years since UFC 229 and all of the drama that followed after its main event, but this afternoon, we finally received our final piece of fallout from that chaotic night. Dillon Danis, Conor McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach and cornerman, received a seven-month suspension from mixed martial arts (retroactive to October 6th) – as well as a $7,500 fine – for getting booyaka booyaka 619’d by a flying Khabib, making him eligible to return to the Bellator cage in May.
Danis was the actual, specific person targeted by Khabib and his crew, seen here…
…so I’m not sure why he deserves any suspension whatsoever, let alone a fine, being all he was trying to do was protect the innocent women and children who had paid hard earned money for tickets to the event from the uncaged savage that was Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Here’s the real bullshit about this whole thing – if Khabib Nurmagomedov agreed to record the anti-bullying public service announcement that the Nevada State Athletic Commission suggested he do, his suspension would’ve been up before Danis’. Khabib is refusing to record said PSA, because he says that Nevada has drugs, prostitution, and gambling, so bullying is the least of their worries. Okay, nerd.
Soooooo, apparently, signaling “come here” with your hands is a worse offense than jumping into and literally attacking a crowd of innocents with nothing but violent intentions in the eyes of that fucking clown Bob Bennett and the rest of the NSAC. Got it!
